In case you are unfamiliar with Feng Shui, it is the ancient knowledge of the Chinese which examines the nature and build of the environment. Literally speaking, Feng Shui means water and wind and it is considered to be an amalgamation of the ancient mathematics of the Chinese, as well as the architecture, interior design and all of the simple rules of Chinese housekeeping.

Overall, it is a very popular practice that is currently being applied to the work and home places within order, in order to create a well-balanced environment. Quickly, Feng Shui has been able to evolve from a trend of the new age to a decorating phenomenon that is widely spread between the amateurs and decorators alike. Decorating using Feng Shui is known to involve the movement of energy and moving all of the blocked areas so that all of the energy is able to move at a pace that is steadily around the whole entire home.

In order to be able to move all of the energy amateurs and professionals, there are several different types of tools like: plants, mirrors, water, sound, scent and color.

Here are the colors that you should use when decorating using the Feng Shui style:

* Within China, decorating with the color red is known to bring about good luck. It is also said that red is the only color of good fortune.

* Within the Feng Shui practice, the color yellow is considered to be an imperial color which the majority of the masters at Feng Shui make use of and there are some of them that consider yellow to be a lot more beneficial than the color red.

* When decorating using Feng Shui, you should always remember that green is considered to be a color of peace, freshness and growth.

* The decorative colors that are darker can either be depressing or relaxing and all of the light colors can be annoying and uplifting, all of the extreme colors are capable of being aggravating or exhilarating.
