Learning the Characteristics of the Five Feng Shui Elements

In order for the Feng Shui elements to achieve balance and harmony within any space, it is known to handle five major elements. The Feng Shui element consists of: fire, wood, metal, earth, and water. Each of the Feng Shui elements possesses their very own properties and characteristics, and within this article, we will detail all of them.

 

Based on the traditions of the Chinese, everything is interacting and changing constantly and all of this is able to happen through these five Feng Shui elements. The traditional knowledge of Feng Shui and all of Feng Shui's guidelines are strictly based on these five elements of Feng Shui. Therefore, when you wish to harmonize a place based on Feng Shui, all of these elements have to be employed properly based on their effects and characteristics.

Wood is the first among the Feng Shui elements, and it possesses the name of Mu in Chinese. Wood is known to represent creativity, innovation, birth, and wood is a very sociable element. Wood as an element is known to correspond to the east direction and the color green. By taking the time to carefully place this element within any strategic spot within any space, you are going to be adding all of which the element represents.

Fire is another one of the Feng Shui elements and it is referred to as Huo within China. Fire is known to symbolize and bring about activity, energy and enthusiasm to all of the places where it is able to be found. Fire is a warmth element that has to be treated with measure because too much of it can destroy everything that surrounds it. Fire is normally represented by the south direction and the color red, and it is known to symbolize the puberty years.

Among the Feng Shui elements is Earth, and Earth is known as Tu within the Chinese language. This particular element of Feng Shui is known to symbolize patience, stability, and honesty. It is considered to be a methodic element that is also capable of becoming demanding, and it is perfect for everything that shares a relationship with inheritances and real estate. The color yellow symbolizes Earth and it is a representative for the early years of youth.

One of the other Feng Shui elements is metal or either Jin in Chinese. Metal is known to represent success within harvesting and businesses. Metal can also represent cutting metal or a knife and it can be destructive through these things. Gold and white are the colors that symbolize metal as well as the direction to the west. Metal is known to symbolize the adult years of the human life.

The very last of the Feng Shui elements is water, referred to as Shui within the Chinese language. Among the Feng Shui elements, water plays a very important role, and the name of Feng Shui also contains its own name within it, meaning wind and water. Mainly, water represents traveling and communications, however it can also represent arts, learning and media.
