The Feng Shui Basics

Literally, Feng Shui means "water and wind" in Chinese, and it is all about harmony and balance between us and the environment that we live in. Similar to the energies of yin and yang, Feng Shui is basically all about balance. Where you find fire, you will always find water, where you find light, you will always find darkness.

  

The Feng Shui basics teach us that each and every individual interacts in a different manner with their environment, like an office or house, it is also suited so that you will find that everything within your life is absolutely great. However, in the event that you experience financial woes or troubled relationships, it is highly likely that there is going to be some imbalance or discord between your environment and yourself, manifesting with your daily life.

By taking the time to subtly modify your environment, you are going to be able to restore the balance and consequently you are going to improve your life overall. Take the time to modify your environment can be just as simple as changing the position or angle of your word desk or by purchasing all of the Feng Shui items like the mandarin ducks and by placing them in all of the proper locations within your office or home.

There are several different systems related to the authentic and classic Feng Shui practice. Within this article, you are going to learn about the Xuan Kong system. The Xuan Kong system is a total and complete system that includes complicated formulas in order to calculate the composition and the optimal positioning of the environment.

There are several sub-categories within the system of Xuan Kong, which includes the ever-so-popular Flying Stars School. All of the descriptions within this article are strictly based on the basic of the Eight Mansion School which is also referred to as the Pa Kua School.

Here are five of the eight directions of Pa-Kua, whic can be summarized briefly as:

* Sheng Chi- Focuses on life generating, this particular direction is your wealth and prosperity direction. You are going to focus on this particular direction in the event that you are interested within financial strength.

* Tien Yi- Focuses on the heavenly doctor, this particular direction deals on your health direction. You are going to focus on this particular direction in the event that you are sincerely interested in physical and health matters.

* Nien Yin- Focuses on relationships, this direction is considered to be your relationship direction. You are going to need to focus on this direction in the event that you would like to achieve knowledge and tranquility.

* Fu Wei- Focuses on stability, this direction is related to the direction of your knowledge and stability. You are going to focus on this direction in the event that you are experiencing troubled relationships and you would like to improve your marriage or love life overall.
